Advocacy

The Arc Community League, along with the other Chapters of TheArcNY, continues its advocacy commitment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).  During this time of staff shortages in group homes and day programs and reduced funding for providers, advocacy is needed more than ever.  The Arc Community League joins fellow Chapters, along with, the Governmental Affairs liaison at The ArcNY office to push Legislators to make changes to laws and regulations that will improve the lives, health and well-being of people with I/DD throughout the State.

You can assist in our advocacy efforts by becoming a member of The Arc Community League.  The more members, the greater our influence on the state and national level.  Together we can be the voice of change for those who cannot speak for themselves.
